Review and Swatches: Youngblood Intimatte Lipsticks

Youngblood Cosmetics recently released three new shades: Flirt (coral), Sinful (raspberry red) and Fever (orange red) to their Intimatte Collection. The colors are awesome; super bright and Spring-y, but also extremely wearable.

Youngblood Intimatte Mineral Lipsticks The Intimatte Lipsticks are matte but aside from Flirt, I found them to be more on the satiny side. For a matte lipstick they’re not super drying which is nice but I didn’t love how they felt on my lips. The feeling reminds me a bit of Wet and Wild’s Megalast lipstick. It feels like it would if you applied wet powder to your lips and then let it dry.. if that makes sense. Applying a lip balm on top makes it feel much better but it changes the consistency up a bit.

The lipstick bullet is pretty stiff which is good because it’s easier to get sharper lines, but it did make them drag a bit before warming up. I’m a huge fan of the colors and the overall wear time was great for a lipstick that does not claim to be long wearing.

FLIRT

Youngblood Intimatte Mineral Lipstick - Flirt

Looking at the tube, I thought I would hate Flirt but I actually ended up loving the color. It’s a warmer peach shade that’s not too bright or too neutral (on my skintone which is medium/tan). On fair skin this would pop a lot more, and on deeper skin I can see it being a really pretty natural peach. This color was a little more drying and matte than the other colors so I applied some EOS lipbalm on top which made it feel a lot better on my lips. Flirt lasted about 2.5 to 3 hours without needing a touchup.

FEVER

Fever was my favorite shade out of the three; I’m always drawn to red/orange lipsticks and I like this one because it’s not too orange. It lasted for quite a while without needing a touch up (about 5 hours) but it did wear off while I ate. They don’t claim to be long wearing or rub proof so I don’t fault Youngblood for that at all.

SINFUL

Youngblood Intimatte Mineral Lipstick - Sinful

I was surprised when I applied Sinful for the first time because it looks red in the tube, but actually goes on as a muted red/magenta. I don’t have many colors similar to this and I love it. Sinful wasn’t as pigmented as the other two lipsticks and it dragged a little more as well. It took 2 coats in order to make it as bold as I wanted, but this one did feel better on my lips. Sinful lasted about 4 hours without needing a touch up.

Will these be Going in my Kit?

I’ll be adding Sinful to my kit for editorial use because I don’t have any colors similar to it. The other two will be for personal use.

Cruelty Free?

Yes they are cruelty free and these lipsticks are also vegan
